The Black Tower
That Fell from Space

A small white puppy, a dying city, and a mysterious tower carrying the memories of forgotten worlds.

The night began quietly. Beneath the dim lights of an ordinary city, a tiny white puppy wandered through familiar streets, following scents left behind by rain and listening to the distant hum of traffic. Then, one by one, the stars disappeared. The puppy stopped in the middle of the road and looked upward. Within moments, the entire sky had become an impossible black void.

A crack opened across that darkness. Something enormous emerged from it—a structure darker than the night surrounding it. A colossal black tower descended from space and buried itself in the center of the city. There was no explosion. There was no thunder. Instead, every light in the city went out at once. When electricity returned, buildings still stood and streets remained intact, yet reality no longer felt the same.

Around the tower, fragments of concrete floated silently above the ground. Rain hung motionless in the air. Shadows stretched in directions that did not match the lights that created them. Among the frightened crowds, only the little puppy seemed able to see a faint blue radiance moving across the tower's surface.

Drawn toward it, the puppy crossed abandoned roads and passed between silent vehicles. The closer it came to the tower, the stranger gravity became. Stones rose from the pavement. Broken signs drifted above rooftops. Entire sections of ruined architecture seemed suspended between the earth and sky.

Then time stopped.

People froze in the streets. Cars became motionless. Falling droplets of water remained suspended like glass beads. Yet the puppy could still move. Terrified, it ran away from the tower, racing through alleys, tunnels, stairways, and empty intersections. But every path eventually returned it to the same place.

The city had become a loop.

Soon the puppy noticed something even more disturbing. Although the people remained frozen, their shadows were moving. One after another, the shadows turned toward the tower and began sliding silently across the pavement. With nowhere else to go, the puppy followed them. At the tower's base, the shadows vanished through its seamless black surface, and an entrance slowly opened.

Beyond that entrance was not a room.

There was a universe.

The puppy stepped into an endless field of darkness filled with distant stars. There seemed to be no floor, yet every step produced a point of light beneath its paws. A pathway of newborn stars formed behind it as it moved deeper into the impossible interior.

Gravity gradually disappeared. The puppy drifted between enormous rings of ancient machinery, shattered bridges, floating ruins, and structures that seemed larger than entire cities. Strange creatures watched from the darkness—vast beings with luminous eyes, elongated bodies, and forms that seemed partly mechanical and partly alive.

Yet they did not attack.

They watched as though they had been waiting.

Deeper inside the tower, the puppy discovered a city identical to its own. Familiar streets stretched beneath an artificial sky. The park it remembered was there. So was the road leading home. But no people remained. The city was constructed entirely from fragments of memory.

Inside its home, the puppy heard footsteps.

Another small white puppy appeared.

It looked exactly the same, except its eyes were completely black. The creature chased the puppy through collapsing streets until both entered a vast chamber of mirrors. There, the puppy finally understood that the creature was not an enemy. It was a reflection of every fear it had tried to escape since the tower arrived.

Instead of running again, the puppy approached it.

Their noses touched.

The dark reflection dissolved into light and returned to the puppy. At that moment, the false city vanished and a staircase appeared, climbing upward through the tower.

At the top, the puppy emerged above the clouds and discovered something terrifying. Another city hung upside down in the sky. Roads, towers, bridges, and buildings stretched downward from the heavens like the reflection of another world. The two cities were slowly moving toward one another.

A second black tower descended from the inverted city.

The two towers connected, creating an immense bridge suspended between the worlds. The puppy crossed it while gravity twisted around every step. The city below became a wall, then a ceiling, then vanished behind clouds as the bridge carried the puppy toward the impossible space between both realities.

There, hidden inside a storm of black mist, floated an enormous heart.

Dark veins connected it to both towers. With every beat, buildings trembled and the two worlds moved closer together. When the puppy placed one paw against its surface, the heart stopped.

Memories flooded into the puppy.

It saw oceans beneath unfamiliar stars. Forests covering entire planets. Mechanical civilizations built around artificial suns. Cities floating inside gas giants. One after another, these worlds disappeared. Each time, the black tower arrived before their destruction and carried away fragments of their memories.

The tower was not an invader.

It was an archive wandering through the universe, preserving the final memories of worlds that were about to die.

But after countless ages, it had collected too much. The memories trapped inside had begun colliding with one another, creating impossible landscapes, creatures, cities, and fragments of realities that were never meant to exist together.

Among countless glowing worlds suspended within the tower, the puppy suddenly recognized one.

Its own city.

Then came the most frightening realization of all. The tower did not merely preserve worlds that had already vanished. It traveled to worlds shortly before their destruction.

Its arrival was a warning.

The puppy watched a vision of its city's future. Buildings dissolved beneath a fractured sky. Streets disappeared into darkness. Eventually, nothing remained.

The tiny creature refused to accept it.

As the tower began collapsing around it, the puppy raced through corridors filled with falling fragments of memory. Entire miniature worlds shattered overhead. Ancient structures awakened. Strange guardians emerged from the walls and pursued the puppy through the ruins.

At last, the puppy reached the glowing sphere containing its city. It seized the sphere and ran.

The tower reacted violently. Passages folded inward. Bridges broke apart. Gravity shifted without warning. The puppy climbed through chambers filled with gigantic faces, floating planetary spheres, glowing mechanical eyes, and monstrous beings suspended between the architecture.

Eventually, a narrow path led upward toward the tower's highest point.

Outside, the two cities were almost touching.

Holding the tiny world carefully, the puppy climbed the final staircase and reached the summit. Winds tore across the tower. Debris from both realities floated through the sky. Above and below, two versions of the city approached their final collision.

The puppy placed the glowing sphere on the summit.

For a moment, nothing happened.

Then it gently pushed the sphere toward the sky.

The tiny world rose into the darkness and cracked open.

Light exploded across the heavens.

The sphere divided into hundreds, then thousands, then millions of brilliant fragments. They spread across the sky until they became stars. The inverted city slowly retreated upward. The real city descended back into its proper place. Gravity returned. Time began moving again.

Behind the puppy, the black tower began to collapse.

Its enormous walls fragmented into dark particles and rose toward the newly restored stars. The impossible creatures disappeared with it. Floating ruins faded. The bridges between realities dissolved. Finally, the tower itself vanished as though it had never existed.

Near dawn, the little white puppy returned to the quiet street where the journey had begun. The city was alive again. Lights glowed behind windows. Cars moved through distant intersections. Rain touched the pavement instead of hanging motionless above it.

The puppy stopped and looked upward.

For the first time since the tower had fallen, the sky was filled with stars.

It turned toward home.

Then something faintly illuminated the pavement behind it.

Among the rain-darkened stones rested a tiny fragment of black material. The puppy slowly turned around and approached it.

Deep inside the fragment, a small blue light appeared.

And slowly, impossibly, a tiny eye opened.
